Dr Ian Hunt

Biography

Dr Ian Hunt qualified with a degree in Dentistry in 1991 from the University of Manchester. He went on to become the Practice Principal of a general dental practice, Maple Dental Care, in Sale which he developed over a number of years prior to handing over ownership but continuing to offer general dental care and his interest in endodontics (root canal treatment).

Alongside a successful career in general dental practice, Ian has been a Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Manchester since 2011. He has long been an advocate of postgraduate education in addition to undergraduate education. Ian was recently appointed to the role of Clinical Delivery Lead.

Ian is a Fellow of the College of Dentistry and has been awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative Dentistry.

Ian likes lots of outdoor activities such as walking, running, cycling and skiing. He has been lifelong fan of Manchester City and has seen the best and worst of the team when they were in 3rd tier of English football and winning the premier league.
